I think many parts of the East Coast are haunted...some of them had very violent pasts back the the Revolution. I know a lot in the South are haunted going back to slavery.
In the Poconos, the Indian Museum is haunted by Indian ghosts...many, many people have seen them. I have seen 'something' on my property...but I couldn't define what 'it' was....just kind of a swirly mass on a crystal clear, cold night with like zero humidity.

If you look up the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, that's literally 8 minutes away from my house. Within the past five years, a national cemetery has been built for veterans. What they don't tell you is that there is an Indian Burial ground across the road and down the hill that is haunted. The Indians are friendly, but it's still funny to take newbies down there and freak them out.
There's an old custom/saying around where I live...If you're visited or see one of the Indians, you're worthy of their honor and as long as you are within the vicinity, you are protected.

we have two popular haunts here in Miami, Fl
one is the Bitlmore Hotel which was built in 1923, it has served as a hotel than a World War II hospital, than they reopened it, the most famous ghost is a gangster by the name of Fat Walsh who was killed in his casino in the 13th floor ( I had my senior prom there!)
the other famous haunt is the Curtis Mansion in Miami Springs, according to legend the son of the founder of Miami Springs, Hialeah, the whole Miami Dade, apparently killed his wife and their children and their adoptive children (think Amityville horror), according to the reason the man went nuts is because his wife miscarried.

One of the more famous haunts in the Poconos is the Carbon County prison....a 'Molly McGuire' (rebels of the miners trying to turning things around by use of violence) was convicted and hanged. But he proclaimed his innocence and the morning of his hanging he wiped his hand in the dirty floor of his cell and left a hand print on the wall claiming it would remain forever to prove his innocence. To this day, regardless of painting, replastering, or cleaning....his hand print is always there.

I've seen that on 'Most Haunted Places in the US" it was on two weeks ago.
I have to look up something, but I have another haunted place that's basically in my back yard

Nibbles did you see Ghost Hunters last night! they went to Ireland first to check out the hauntings at this old abandoned estate, the walls are gone well they were not just being haunted by ghosts but by fairies (and they don't like Tinker bell, they are nasty) than they went to London, to investigate a haunting over a tavern that was onces a prison they still have the cells, they used to contain 20 people, and they even got voices! on their recordings. Next week they will be going to Salem, Mass. And on Halloween they will be doing a live show from Waverly, Santourim.

Lucky....I had seen that one already....but I did catch the new one where a priest's house was haunted...it was on at 9PM on Wednesday.
Ghost Hunters had done a whole trip to the UK...there were in England and Ireland....the Hellfire Caves, the tavern, and the old estate. They were good ones. And yes...I don't trust fairies either!
Years ago, before were were married, my hubby and I went down to Sandy Hook in NJ and just passed that on the peninsula is Fort Hancock. It's an old fort that protected Southern NJ shoreline. We caught some funky shapes and shadows on video tape...never could explain them...but we couldn't prove what they were or weren't.

well I went into the Biltmore hotel on my prom night hoping to see some ghosts, actually some of us wanted to head to the 13th floor, anyone here watches Moonlight or Bloodties? if you love vampires. I strongly recommend them.

I never really got caught up in Vampires....but I did enjoy watching Van Helsing....maybe it was Hugh Jackman though.
Lucky...did you see the 6 hour Live Halloween special of Ghost Hunters last night? They went back to Waverley Hospital in Kentucky.
It was pretty good.....I would love to visit that particular tuberculosis hospital...they say it's one of the most haunted.
