Alright, I'm having a problem and I'm not sure how to solve it.
I'm going through some serious bouts of writers block, which is adding to my frustration with writing. There's a part of me that wants to try to work my way through it, to keep up with the stories I have going and to create some more. At the same time, I'm two seconds away from dropping all my stories and quitting.
Any words of advice to help me through my writers block, or even some false words of encouragement would be greatly appriciated.

Ok, ok, here's my two cents:
Know that we love you and that everyone goes through writers' block.
Take a walk outside and look around. My inspiration comes from the things I see and hear.
Listen to the people you hang out with and love. Some of my Jack-isms parallel my best friend and caballero. The affections and emotions they portray are timeless and priceless. So, I put them into words for others to read.
Take a breather and relax. Take a hiatus from writing and postpone everything if you have to. I've done that a bunch of times on other boards so that my head gets collected and re-ordered.
Lay back, relax and breath; darling. Everything will be alright.
Much love, -Shannon

Yup ditto to everything Shannon just said. Just go with what feels natural to you because if you force yourself to write the words won't sound right and it will make the whole thing worse. Go to where ever you get the most inspired and just stay there for a while and eventually even if you don't think about it something will come back to you. Also try reading back over your stories and other stories because that sometimes helps to get inspired. It'll come back soon

When I get writer's block I do a number of things to get back my muse. One of them is like what Chazza said read over your stories. I read them aloud, try to act them out, figure out what I would do next in that particular situation. It helps because then you start to feel the emotion of the character.
I also rewatch the movies or shows because it helps me get into the groove of the character again. It gives me ideas on where to go from here.
And lastly, I just write. Even if it's crap, even if I end up deleting it later I just write so I don't lose the drive to write. Eventually, I find something that works and I go from there, more than likely deleting what I originally started with but it works.
I hope it helps and you get your muse back!

I agree with what everyone has said above me. And lastly, I just write. Even if it's crap, even if I end up deleting it later I just write so I don't lose the drive to write. Eventually, I find something that works and I go from there, more than likely deleting what I originally started with but it works. Rambles work very well. They don't have to make sense, and they don't have to be complete sentences. Sometimes you cannot write because you have too many other things on your mind that you don't even realize. Don't censor anything! Also, what Chazza said: "Go to where ever you get the most inspired and just stay there for a while and eventually even if you don't think about it something will come back to you" is a very good idea. If certain music genres/artists usually spark your muse, download some of the newer songs, maybe all you need is some new material 'cause you've run the old stuff dry, y'know? Above all: Don't you dare quit!crazee4rum
