I agree with the stuff about Sao Feng, I thought he was going to be like one of the main characters in this film and he was only in like 5 scenes. It did seem like a waste of time because all he did was give them charts, and explain that he was a pirate lord, kiss lizzie and give her the coin thingy. Could have done that in 5 minutes. I think thatw as only there to have the cool scene when they blew up Singapore.
I thought the best scene in the entire movie was the bit where they were trying to get back to the real world, because it was fresh and original and directed with flair before plunging back into the CGI world. I thought that bit was really well done.
You know the line where they go 'Do you think he plans it out or makes it up as he goes along?' The latter is kinda how I see Ted and Terry writing this script. I know they didn't have a definitive script during shooting and I think it shows.
Also it took me ages to realise that it was the kranken! Also I read a lovely article the other day about pirates 3 and it was actually quite nice but then it went 'Keira Knightley's voice is too weak to carry off the role, and Orlando Bloom has never needed the seven seas to make him wet.' I thought it was quite funny.
I also think that I didn't like it so much because the plot confused me and it was so long that i was thinking more about trying to not to go to the loo then focusing in on the story. It meant that I ended up missing the bit where Will comes back to life and my brother had to sit there giving me like this five minute run down about what happened which I didn't really get!
I loved the ending for Jack and Barbossa. Those two were the best characters by far.
