Bella walked down the gang plank of the Minion. Her father had just died and the only thing she wanted most was to find Jack. She needed him and they led her to believe he was here in Tortuga.

A chorus of whistles went up as he walked past and Jack stopped, swaying and turned to saunter over to the women, "can I help you ladies?"

Tom came to stand by Bella. "What are we doing here again, Captain?"
"I am here to find my best friend." Bella glanced around the dock for the infamous pirate ship. "You and the rest of the crew can go off to a tavern and get drunk if you like."

"I'm sure you can, Captain," one of the women spoke up moving towards Jack and signalled for the rest to leave them.

The Minion's crew headed to the Faithful Bride on the depressed side after losing their Captain. Tom, however, choose to stick closely to Bella since she had yet to show grief over her father's death.

"And how exactly would that be?" He asked, looking at her dubiously.
She smiled and placed a hand on his arm, shaking out her dark hair. "By entertaining me of course."

Bella caught sight of a familiar looking woman and she tensed.
Tom felt her withdraw and he looked at her in concern. "What's wrong?"
"I think I just saw my mother." Tom looked at her in confusion not knowing her mother was a wench.

Jack smirked and took her in. "Of course darling," he huskied mischievously. "Lead the way."
A taller, older woman stood watching her daughter and nodded to her when she walked away with Jack.

Bella turned away from the direction her mother was not wanting to see her. Tom followed behind her. "Why won't you go say hello to her?"
"She might have given me life but she is not a real mother."

"Oh with pleasure," she cooed softly and lead Jack back to the tavern she worked at. They only paused to get the key from the barkeep before disappearing from prying eyes, very much engaged in the other.
Katrina, Bella's mother, walked away pleased with her daughter.

Bella spent the entire night wandering from tavern to tavern with Tom until she entered the last tavern, the one Jack had entered hours before. She approached the bar keep. "Excuse me sir, have you seen a pirate with black long hair, dreads, and brown eyes? About this high?" She gestured to a few inches above her.

Jack appeared moments later with Maria on his arm and let her drag him outside, they were by no means finished and he wasn't going to argue with her.
"You mean him?" The barkeep asked, gesturing at Jack. "Oi!" He yelled and both turned to look at him as Maria wrapped her arms around him provactively.

Bella's heart dropped before she wrenched her eyes away and fled the tavern with Tom hot on her heels. How could she be so stupid as to think that he would be pining away for her the same way she had been for years?

"Who was she?" Maria asked looking up at Jack's confused face.
"I'm not sure," he replied before he was pushed back up against the wall.
